Which chapter in World History did you enjoy most this year and why? The chapter in World History that I enjoyed most this year was learning about Ancient Greece. This chapter was my favorite because my background is mostly Greece. Plus, I know so much about Greece and it was fun to learn more. It was fun to go home and tell my dad whose background is also Greek what I learned.
Describe some of the things that you learned in that chapter. Is there a project that you completed that you enjoyed working on? Some things I learned in that chapter were different city-states and their culture. It was most interesting to learn about Sparta because it was a very tuff city-state. Just this recently I had a group project to work on that I enjoyed working on. We had a great time filming it and hanging out after. I even got squirted with a hose (By Gillian when it was Christine’s idea)! It was really funning yet cold.
What new skills have you learned throughout the year? I really didn’t learn any new skills. But I improved my mapping skill. We really worked with maps. In almost every chapter. It was fun though. From tracing, to coloring water from land, to drawing, all on maps!
How can you apply this knowledge to the real world?
I can apply my improved mapping skill to the real world a lot of different ways. When I’m traveling I’ll be able to look at a map. Or when I have to make a route or show someone a place. This skill can really help me.
